The goal of this directory is twofold: to uplift and support local businesses, organizations, and individuals who embody progressive values—and to inform our community about those who do not. We seek to highlight spaces that are openly inclusive and diverse, reject harmful ideologies, and make intentional choices that reflect these principles. At the same time, we believe it is equally important to identify and avoid those who promote regressive or exclusionary policies, lack diversity, or openly align themselves with harmful ideologies. Many members of our leadership team are themselves faith leaders in the community, and we believe that faith-based organizations (along with other civic and community organizations) should strive to be neutral and are labeled as such unless they actively promote specific values.
