Indivisible Rutherford is a grassroots movement made up of individual Rutherford County NC locals organized under the banner of the greater Indivisible organization. In many ways you can think of us as the "alt" Rutherford County Democratic Party and we're here to speak up for the othered, the marginalized, and those who've felt left behind by local party politics. Together we can make change, raise our voices as one and say: "An attack on one, is an attack on all," in short, when someone attacks the party? We all roll initiative.

Community Is Resistance
Mortellus is a trans non-binary person, clergy, a mortician, an internationally best-selling author, once ran away and joined a circus, but most of all—was born and raised in Rutherford County North Carolina, and lives there still. Their upbringing, for better or worse, gave them a passion for helping others and showing up even when it's hard.
Lots of people ask if Mortellus is their "real" name and the answer is yes! In their faith tradition clergy take on a chosen spiritual name at ordination. Is it their government name? No.
